When your feeling happy, sad, or angry - we often to turn to music to improve our mental state.
Interesting fact about me - I wasn’t able to listen to music peacefully without feeling like it was too loud or stressing me out. If the music was too loud, it would make my ears ring or it would stress me out because I couldn’t hear myself think. It wasn’t until I realized how therapeutic music can be and how therapeutic singing was. Yet, oddly enough I love concerts and go to them all the time in Toronto to see my favourite artists.
I discovered I focus better with the music on low in the background while I work and that is what suits me best.
I remember when I was studying in school I would play an album I didn’t know because it helped me study better - I wasn’t singing along to the lyrics!
Listening to the right type of music can calm you down, help you during rough types, or boost your energy during the good times.
