Drinking Water // Health

 

Our bodies are made up of 60 % of water so it is no surprise that drinking water has plenty of health benefits. I feel like people do not realize the true benefits to drinking water. It is a vital part of our bodies detoxification system and we need it to help digest our food. Dehydration can only slow you down and we need water to function properly.

The amount of water for one to drink is dependent upon your weight, gender, how much you exercise, and your height. Therefore, it is something you can do more research on and find out what suits your needs. Overall, let thirst be your guide - if you feel thirsty then more drink water.

ALSO - please get in the habit of using a reusable glass or steel water bottle then fill it with filtered water. Throw out the plastic water bottles to prevent the harmful chemicals from entering your body! Save your bodies. your money, and the planet by avoiding buying plastic water bottles.

 

If you are someone who does not like drinking water, I have some tips for you! Below are other ways you can get more water into your system.

  1. Drink 100 % coconut water instead of regular water

  2. Add fruit to your water to give it a tasty flavour

  3. Eat more foods that contain mostly water such as celery, water, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, oranges, and spinach (mostly fruits and vegetables ;)

  4. Drink more homemade fruit smoothies with water, fruit, spinach, and ice!

  5. If you are someone who does not like eating your vegetables, try making your own vegetable juice to get the extra benefits.
