Benefits of Tea
I love tea and I drink one cup everyday, sometimes twice if I want a cup of tea for comfort. I use to drink coffee actually and mostly black because it was the healthiest way to drink coffee, but I found tea suited me better. Switching from coffee to tea was the best decision I could do for myself. I was not as anxious and it did not cause any stomach issues. Coffee is acidic and it did not suit me as well. Don’t get me wrong, I do have the occasional cup of coffee, but overall I love to drink tea. Here are a few benefits to drinking tea.
Antioxidants - Tea contains antioxidants and as I am sure many know, antioxidants is beneficial to your overall health because it prevents infections and gets rid of any toxic chemicals that are in your body caused by pollution.
Less Caffeine - As I have mentioned, I feel less anxious once I switched to tea and that is because tea has less caffeine compared to coffee.
Less Teeth Staining - When compared to coffee, the chances of tea staining your teeth is less likely. I still recommend drinking water, lightly brushing your teeth, or eating an apple after consuming tea or coffee to prevent your teeth from turning yellow.
Helps Digestive System - Depending on the tea your drink, there are many forms of tea that aid in helping with your digestive system. Each tea has it’s own benefits and can help you in a variety of ways, even with weight loss.
Tea is Calorie Free - Tea requires hot water and that is it! Personally, I like to drink my tea with lactose free milk and maple syrup as a sweetener. However, when compared to coffee, one cup of coffee is almost like a dessert once you add your double cream and double sugar, it becomes more of a treat or you rely on it to keep you awake.
