Why rest days are so important:
1. Rest days prevent injuries from occurring because you don’t want to overuse your joint and muscles
2. Your muscles need a break and they need that time to repair & grow from all those intense workouts you do
3. Taking one day off will not set your body back from all that hard work you have been doing
4. Overtraining can affect your sleep cycle because you will constantly feel restless or in high alert
5. On rest days (Sunday), I usually do yoga or a light/ short workout. Always remember that rest days are just as important as your workout days and should be treated equally!
