Teachers: Leading a Healthy Lifestyle

Are you a teacher? Do you struggle with figuring out how to achieve a healthy lifestyle?

I have some helpful tips for you! 

1. Prep your meals! - Make small healthy snacks for yourself and prep your lunch the night before so you can grab it before heading to school! 

 While the kids are on recess, in the mist of changing classes, or doing some independent studying, take the time to pull out a healthy snack you had prepared for yourself. 

2. Hydration is Key - Keep a reusable water bottle with you at all times. Fill it will fresh fruit or soda water to keep you drinking water all day long! Stay hydrated!

3. Creative Exercise - Many teachers get swamped in paper work, up late nights marking, and planning your material for the next day. Therefore, be creative! Get a fitness tracker or plan to start moving around more. Walk around the classroom or walk around the school during your lunch break. If it possible, get up earlier and workout in the morning or plan to workout after school. Working out can be as simple as walking, dancing (zumba), or running. Find something you love!

4. Set Goals - Just as you have goals for your students, make some for yourself as well. Your well being and self-care is so important. Listen to your body and get proper sleep! Create a new lifestyle you love and inspire your students with your determination to be more than a teacher by choosing to make a healthy living a part of your lifestyle!
