Healthier Hair // Routine
I have tried many things to successfully get my hair to grow healthier, longer, and thicker! Here are my some of my secrets that have helped me achieved healthier hair!
I wash my hair once a week and use an organic dry shampoo when needed. I only recently switched over to washing my hair once a week. I would start off by washing your hair twice a week and seeing how it goes because everyone is different.
Before washing my hair, I like to use a natural hair mask that contains ingredients like coconut oil, avocado oil, or moroccan oil. Right now, I am using a pure coconut oil mask for my hair. I let it soak in my hair for 5-10 minutes before I shower and wash it out before applying shampoo and conditioner.
When washing my hair with shampoo, I focus on the top part of my head and scrub my scalp really well.
When using conditioner, I focus on applying it to the ends of my hair. I try my best to use warm water when washing my hair, but if I am taking a hot shower - I make sure to rinse just my hair with cold water at the very end.
I get my hair trimmed and cut every 3-6 months. It is always best to cut the dead ends so your hair can keep growing stronger and thicker.
I use satin hair scrunches when putting my hair up. It causes less damage and breakage to your hair. Eventually, I would like to switch to a satin pillow case as well because it is MUCH better for your hair.
I have included eating foods that are rich in biotin, iron, and omega 3 into my diet. Eating foods such as eggs, sweet potato, salmon, and avocados have helped grow my hair longer and thicker.
